God Adventure- What to Expect

There is a delicate balance in life between taking on too much and not doing enough for the Kingdom of Heaven. Do too much, and you risk burn-out from working under your own strength. Do too little, and you miss out on the blessing and fruit God may have designed for your life. If you can discover the right balance, you'll find yourself living in a God ordained adventure, full of possibilities.

But watch out! The enemy loves keeping us out of balance, trapped in the extremes of too much or too little. There are two tactics he uses, which you can expect to show up in your own life to keep you from true adventure:

First, he loads us down under the burden of busy work. These are things that are in our comfort zone, that appear important, and that are easy to say yes to. Those yes’s add up until we are carrying a hundred small opportunities that we were never meant to carry.

Those who have learned the important lesson of when to say no, face the second attack that pushes us in the opposite direction of “too much”. It’s an attack based on fear. If the enemy can keep us in fear of taking on the right things, he can keep us from partnering with God in incredible Kingdom adventure.

Both of these attacks are dangerous. Which one do you face most often?

I want to focus on the second attack for a moment. What do you fear? Is there an adventure opportunity ahead that you sense the Lord leading you into that simply feels too big? Has the phrase, “there is no way I could do that”, entered your mind?

You may not want to hear this, but that may be exact thing what you need to do.

I’m learning that God ordained adventures usually feel far too big for us to accomplish on our own. But that’s how it should be. Why? Because God wants the glory from those he is using you to reach. He also wants glory from you. There should be a sense of awe in ministry adventure as you watch the Lord accomplishing things you could never have done under your own strength.

As I write this, our God ordained adventure (Pioneering With Passion Ministries) is undertaking something that can’t be done under our own strength. It’s too big.

Over the next few weeks, our teams will be headed to remote sites near war-torn areas of Southeast Asia. For security reasons, we need to keep exact locations from being published. Fourteen off-grid refugee camps are anxiously waiting our visit. These camps are filled with hundreds of extreme-loss families and orphans who have had everything taken from them in the aftermath of war. They have no other support. With resources in such scarcity, they are fast losing hope.

We at PPM love the adventure of reaching new camps and the privilege of introducing Jesus to them! Our goal is to pack 16 vehicles full of food and supplies, which we will then be transported deep into the remote areas. These resources are perfect tools for outreach and the Gospel message.

This FREE BOOK tells the story of a recent trip we took.

Additionally, churches from four different states are joining us in this effort and teams will be arriving soon. It’s such an honor to host short-term missionaries from the states, but it is also a big logistical undertaking.

As you can see, it’s a much larger endeavor than our small team can handle on our own. We have answered the Lord’s leading for this upcoming adventure and now we need Him to show up. If He doesn’t, we’ll probably fail. The Lord is so good to open these doors and we know He won’t disappoint. We are excited for what ahead!

We need you and your prayers as well. Your part in this story matters. In fact, here are 3 ways you can help Christian refugees in Crisis right now!

So…are you saying yes to an adventure that requires God to show up? If not, pray for His leading. Joining our mission by donating might be a great place to start.
